Frequently Asked Questions

My Water is Cloudy
Test your water, making sure that the sanitizer and pH are in the proper areas, (These will be on your test kit). If you sanitizer is low, you need add more, (shock it) and let the filter run for 8-10 Hrs. If your water hasn't cleared up, contact us.

Pressure on the Filter is High
Backwash your filter, or if you have a cartridge filter, clean the filter with a hose and water.

Pressure on the filter is low
Check your water level, making sure it comes halfway up the skimmer. If your water level is right, try backwashing your filter. If your problem still isn't solved, contact us.

My Water is Green
if you can see the bottom of your pool, check your alkalinity. If your test kit doesn't test for alkalinity, bring us a sample of your water and we will test it for you at no charge. If you can't see the bottom, and it smells funny, you need to super-chlorinate and let the filter run. If this happened overnight, check your alkalinity and sanitizer. If both are fine, you need to contact us.

My Heater goes Off and On
Check your water level, making sure it is halfway up your skimmer. If your water level is fine, try backwashing your filter. If this problem persists, contact us.

My Pump is making an Odd Noise
Check your water level, if your water level is where it should be, and your filter pressure is constant, check your pump basket. If nothing is there, contact us and we will check it out.

I get no sanitizer reading (chlorine/bromine)
Check to make sure you have enough sanitizer in your chlorinator/brominator. (Or if you put the discs in your skimmer basket, make sure one is there, and not disintegrated). If you do, backwash your filter, and let it run for 8-10 hours. If this didn't fix the problem, contact us.

My heater isn't on
If you can hear the water running through the heater, make sure the pilot light is on, you have normal filter pressure, and the heater is switched on. If this didn't fix the problem, contact us.
